at Longy?

Longerenong College is situated 13 kilometres north-east of Horsham. We operate our own farm of approximately 1500 hectares with cropping, sheep (merino and prime lambs), beef cattle, and poultry (pullet rearing and laying hens) enterprises. The farm provides the resources for the practical skills training required for these enterprises. The college farm is managed as a commercial operation and the management strategies for the property equate to the best local practices.

Classes are very relaxed compared with the secondary school system. Lecturers at Longerenong College have exceptional skills to explain agricultural principles in everyday terms, and can relate to the students in a friendly environment.

Other facilities at the college include a modern wool classing training centre, Wimmera Machinery Field Day (March) and a fire fighting training centre.
