About the course

The Certificate IV in Agriculture is a hands-on training program that is nationally accredited and is part of the national Rural Production Training package.  The course provides practical training in farming, related technologies and business studies, with a particular focus on broadacre cropping and animal production.

An integral component of the course is two 8 week periods of industry placement. The first placement is in Term 4 of first year and the second during Term 2 of second year. The industry placement period allows the student to focus on a particular career direction. Students are able to identify potential employers, develop and implement a range of skills and gain a good understanding of how to become a valuable contributor to a farming or agribusiness enterprise.
