Our Scholarship Program allows students the opportunity to access financial assistance which will help with tuition or residential fees. Scholarships provide opportunities to engage with sponsoring organisations, placement within industry and be involved in College network opportunities.
The application process involves submitting a resume, two references, a questionnaire, and, if selected, attending an in-person interview. During the interview, you will be expected to articulate the reasons why you should be the recipient of the scholarship. The selection panel will assess various factors, with a primary focus on your:
- Dedication to the agricultural industry
- Academic achievements
- Personal presentation
- Communication skills

MPH Agriculture Scholarship
MPH Agriculture is a privately-owned agribusiness focused on sustainable crop production, particularly irrigated production systems. MPH formerly owned and operated Madowla Park (Echuca) which is one of the largest irrigated cropping enterprises in Victoria, comprising 1,500 ha of laser leveled irrigation land and 2,200 ha of dryland cropping.
The MPH business at Werribee is based around developing large scale winter and summer crop production and pasture enterprise on the 6,000 ha site using the available supply of recycled water (20,000 Mgl).This is a particularly challenging and exciting business and MPH is determined to develop a sustainable future for the farm at Werribee and transform the property into a respected showpiece of environmentally sensitive agricultural practices that protects and improves the site’s renowned biodiversity and conservation values.

Lester Mitchell Scholarship
Mrs Heather Mitchell, family and friends established the Lester Mitchell Award in memory of Lester Mitchell PhC, MBE, who made a significant contribution to farming in the Mallee. The award is to be made to an appropriate young person preferably less than thirty years of age to further his or her knowledge and understanding of agriculture.
The Lester Mitchell Award will be awarded to fund one scholarship of $4,000, or two scholarships, each of $2,000 at the discretion of the interview panel.

Victorian Wheat Research Foundation Scholarship
VICTORIAN WHEAT RESEARCH
The Victorian Wheat Research Foundation originally developed a facility in the late 1960’s at the current Grains Innovation Park site in Horsham. This was principally to breed wheat but has evolved and expanded over more than half a century.

Freemason Foundation Victoria Limited Scholarship
Freemasons Foundation Victoria was established the same year that Longerenong College opened in 1889. Freemasons Foundation Victoria is the trustee of two major charitable trusts with the vision to contribute to a better Victoria through purposeful charitable support and community involvement. Victorian Masonic scholarships have been awarded to a value, in today’s terms, more than $7.5M since 1912. Since November 2014 Freemasons Foundation Victoria has helped the youth to achieve their education goals by awarding over $1.5M in scholarships and awards.
