Applications are assessed against the Longerenong College Scholarship Framework and any scholarship-specific criteria.

The Callum Smail Memorial Scholarship honours the life and legacy of Longerenong College graduate Callum Smail, recognising students who demonstrate the values he lived by: mateship, kindness and respect, integrity, supporting others, and a willingness to listen, learn and grow.
To support a student who demonstrates strong character, a commitment to supporting others and a passion for agriculture, while encouraging the development of long, rewarding and safe careers within rural communities.

To support a student who demonstrates a passion for agriculture, leadership potential and a strong interest in building a career in the agricultural sector. The scholarship seeks to support future agronomy, livestock and wool professionals, with a particular focus on leadership, capability development and industry engagement.

Australia’s grain research and development body, investing in research, development and extension projects that improve the productivity, profitability and sustainability of the Australian grains industry. This scholarship aims to increase First Nations participation and employment in the grains industry.
To support a First Nations student who demonstrates enthusiasm for agriculture, an interest in the grains industry and a commitment to pursuing a career within the Australian grains sector.

Lester Mitchell Scholarship
In memory of Lester Mitchell PhC, MBE, a respected pharmacist, farmer and agricultural leader who made a significant contribution to agriculture in Victoria’s Mallee region.
To support a student in furthering their knowledge, skills and understanding of agriculture, continuing Lester Mitchell’s legacy by encouraging and developing future agricultural professionals.

MPH Agriculture Scholarship
A privately owned agribusiness focused on large-scale irrigated and dryland crop production, with a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and biodiversity conservation. The business also operates a substantial agistment dairy heifer enterprise.
To support a student in their studies alongside practical work placement, providing hands-on experience across both cropping and livestock enterprises while developing skills in sustainable farming, irrigation management and modern agribusiness operations.
