Support for Longy Continues.

If you were wanting to get your products out into the ag industry there is no better place than Longerenong College. With the college at full capacity with full-time students, farm apprentices and agronomy students this is the perfect place to have your products used by the future ag leaders.

This is exactly what Bromar Engineering decided to do when a couple of students spoke to them at the Wimmera Machinery Field Days three years ago. Since then, Bromar Engineering have donated two feeders to the college, and we have also purchased a couple as well.

Animal Production Lecturer Steve Jardine said “we have used other feeders for our feedlot trials over the years, but this year with the generosity of Mark and Bronwyn Liebich we can now use all Bromar Engineering feeders in our trial. We are thrilled they wanted to allow our students to use their products and learn how things can be done.

The feeders will be used in the Animal Nutrition class which is part of our first year Advanced Diploma of Agribusiness Management course. An eight-week trial allows the students to use different feeds in the feeders and workout growth weights from each pen collating the weights. At the end of the trial, we get to see which pen did the best and why and how we got to that conclusion.

Mr Jardine said, “This will be invaluable for the students using new and improved feeders for our trial this year and in the future”.

Josh Liebich said “ The Bromar Engineering team are proud to support the students of Longerenong College utilising Bromar products to help grow the future of Australian farming”.
