The Longerenong College Facilities Upgrade Project to construct student accommodation, a communal building, parking, and landscaping has begun

The Longerenong College Accommodation Project is funded by the Agricultural Modernisation Program 2021 of the Victorian Government, Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions in partnership with Skillinvest Limited.

The $6.5 million project is an exciting project and the biggest capital growth the College has seen for decades.

The expansion of accommodation meets the demands of the ever-growing interest for students looking to study agriculture at Longerenong College. This new facility will provide a conference/training center for short industry courses and outside groups to utilise.

Head of Campus Avril Hogan said “I am thrilled with this new development and the continued support Longerenong receives from the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions, along with past projects supported by the Department of Education and Training.  This project will allow Longerenong to increase the number of students trained per year and allow expansion into corporate training and hosting corporate events that can benefit from the Longerenong farm, and DATA Farm.  Longerenong is committed to providing industry-ready graduates to support the growing agriculture industry in Australia”.
