GRDC Scholarship 1st Year

The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) is one of the world’s leading grains research organisations, responsible for planning, investing in and overseeing RD&E to deliver improvements in production, sustainability and profitability across the Australian grains industry.

GRDC’s primary objective is to drive the discovery, development and delivery of world-class innovation to enhance the productivity, profitability and sustainability of Australian grain growers and benefit the industry and the wider community.

The Grains Research and Development Corporation are offering four scholarships to the value of $3000 each to provide financial assistance to train and develop capacity in education and training for the benefit of the Australian grains industry. These scholarships are available to school leavers undertaking vocational education and training courses in Agriculture at Longerenong College.

Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent resident
  • Be enrolled in a full-time course at Longerenong College in 2021

Selection Criteria

Scholarships will be awarded on the student’s ability to meet the following selection criteria:

  • Have a strong record of achievement (i.e. at work, school or in the community)
  • Enthusiasm for the agricultural industries
  • Understanding of the knowledge and skills that will be required for a successful career in the Australian grains industry
  • Demonstrate intent to work for the Australian grains industry
