VFF 1st Year Scholarship

The Victorian Farmers Federation is an active, powerful lobby group dedicated to the interests of farmers and making a difference to communities. With a strong record of successful political advocacy and leadership, the VFF has generated substantial benefits for the agriculture sector since its formation in 1979.

Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) with the support of Birchip Cropping Group (BCG) are offering a scholarship designed to help build the skills base of the Australian agricultural industry. This scholarship is available to school leavers undertaking vocational education and training courses in Agriculture at Longerenong College under the Rural Production Training Package.

Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Be enrolled as a 1st year student in a full-time course at Longerenong College in 2020 with a focus on Agronomy
  • Reside on campus at Longerenong College

Selection Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded on merit to the successful applicant who:

  • Intends to study the Advanced Diploma of Agribusiness Management and the Diploma of Agronomy in 2021
  • Intends to pursue a career in the grains and/or agronomy sector
  • Illustrates an understanding of the knowledge and skills that will be required for a successful career in agriculture
  • Is available to attend the annual VFF Grains Conference
