Our staff hold broad industry qualifications and experience in their chosen agricultural discipline, covering all aspects of dryland crop production as well as sheep meat, wool, beef cattle and pig production. Many of our academic staff are graduates of the College who have returned to undertake training roles, demonstrating their passion for the industry as well as the College itself.
From our Head of Campus to the support staff in the Front office, Student Records and the Resource Centre, we’re passionate about helping students achieve a rewarding and fulfilling agricultural career.
Message from John Goldsmith - Head of Campus
"Having worked at Longerenong College for more than 20 years, it’s fair to say I’m more than a little attached to the place. I completed my agricultural degree at the College and then worked in the poultry industry for more than three years before commencing employment as the College Poultry Farm Manager and then a number of years as a teacher in animal production. I remember attending Open Day when I was in my final year at Donald High School and by the end of the day I knew I had to go to Longerenong College. It was the people and the feel of the place that drew me in so quickly.
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would one day be Head of Campus, a position I’ve held since 2009. As the College continues to grow and prosper, I never tire of welcoming new students to the College and what drives the staff and myself is the success of our graduates in industry.
We are extremely proud that Longy students are able to hit the ground running in a vast range of exciting and fulfilling agricultural careers."
