Longerenong College staff were pleased to welcome back the Class of 1983 for an alumni tour. Avril Hogan, General Manager, hosted the campus tour, sharing future plans for the College, and showing the group recently completed projects and those currently underway. She said it was wonderful to see their connection, still so strong after 40 years.

Alumni came from across SA, VIC and NSW to catch up for their 2023 reunion, something they have done regularly in the past.  The support they showed for the College was inspiring; reiterating how great it was to see the College’s progress, and noting it was responding to industry needs and moving with the times.

The group also visited the old piggery, one of our recently renovated projects, but new at the time of the ‘83 class’s studies. The group understood that training in pig production was less relevant now and were happy to see the repurposed shed being utilised by students from Skillinvest’s Building and Construction program.

Many of these alumni are working with, or customers of, our sponsors, and they were really pleased that industry is investing in the College and its students.

As the current custodians of this College, we look forward to welcoming back our Alumni at any time.
