Marnie Turner, a 2019 graduate from Longerenong College with an Advanced Diploma in Agribusiness Management and Certificate IV in Wool Classing, grew up on small acreage in Kyneton, VIC. Her childhood interest in animals and hands-on experiences, especially through horse competitions, solidified her passion for agriculture.
Drawn to the outdoor lifestyle and continuous learning in agriculture, Marnie chose Longerenong College after an inspiring open day. Her journey into the industry started with school holiday work on farms, fostering a deep commitment to the field.
Currently working as a Merchandise Sales professional at Nutrien Ag Solutions in Hamilton, VIC, Marnie started in April 2020 and transferred from Ballarat in April 2021. Her diverse exposure to agricultural sectors during her Longy studies plays a crucial role in understanding and addressing the varied needs of clients.
Marnie’s enduring passion lies in the livestock side of the business, specifically focusing on animal health and management. Her advice to future Longerenong College students is to embrace agriculture even if uncertain about post-high school plans, encouraging them to take leaps and challenge themselves.
