Burando Hill, a leading distributor of agricultural farm equipment, parts and machinery across Australia,
has partnered with Longerenong College and donated a world-class chemical handling system for
sprayers, “The Handler III Chemical Mix Batcher”.

This equipment is designed to address one of the biggest challenges in agricultural spraying: safely
loading, mixing, and transferring crop protection products to the sprayer in as little time as possible,
while minimising contact with the product.

The Handler III will provide an invaluable resource for Longerenong College students to learn with and
will be utilised across agronomy and chemical training throughout both full time and short course
deliveries at the College.

Skillinvest/Longerenong College CEO Darren Webster said Longerenong College was grateful for
Burando Hill’s significant contribution and opening up learning opportunities for their students.
“Burando Hill’s generous donation of The Handler III, a piece of world-class, industry-standard
equipment, not only enriches our resources but also ensures our students’ learning experience is both
safe and efficient. This contribution will undeniably enhance our students’ practical skills and
knowledge.”

The idea to donate the equipment was initiated following a conversation between Andrew Way, the
Manager at Burando Hill Wangaratta, and a former student of Longerenong College who suggested
the equipment would be beneficial for the College.

Simon Hill, the owner of Burando Hill said he was pleased to provide Longerenong College students
with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience using The Handler III.
“Education needs to keep up with the evolution of farming and safety and efficiency plays a huge
part. It’s important to keep students at the forefront, as they are the ones paving the way for the
future.”

During the presentation Simon and Andrew, conducted a demonstration of the Handler III for
Longerenong staff and students, followed by a morning tea.
