Fine achievement for woolclasser Katy
First-year Longerenong College student Katy Pollard enjoyed success at the Australian Wool Show at Bendigo, winning first place in both her woolclassing sections.
This year studying Certificate IV in agriculture and Certificate IV in wool classing, Ms Pollard said her family had ‘a few sheep at home’.
“I haven’t done much with them, but I’m looking to get into it,” she said. “My grandparents had sheep and cattle when I was growing up and I’ve had horses, so I just wanted to do some more with the sheep and cattle and livestock industry.”
Ms Pollard said she would study agronomy and agribusiness next year.
